NBC Sports has become the first broadcaster to tackle the problem of the Game’s that will never happen.
As announced by the IOC, The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games has been officially postponed to 2021 (hopefully). With this comes a problem, does the new year require new branding? Or can we just patch up the existing? NBC Sports have clearly gone with the latter, adding a new 202One header onto the existing ‘Tokyo 2020’ logo.
It will be interesting to see how other broadcasters solve the issue, or even if there is a new Olympic logo for 2020 yet to be released.
