Rotoscoping skateboard animations created by Leon Washere

These incredible animations were painstakingly created by Leon Washere. Each frame is painted by hand – a process that can take around 6 to 8 hours of painting for a mere 3 seconds of footage.

“I was bored in-between jobs and thought I’d paint over a few skateboard clips and see what happened, I wasn’t even aware at the time that [this technique is] called rotoscoping.”
